About

How often do I need to visit the dentist?

This can be different for everyone. Most patients who are regularly seen will only need to come back twice a year (every six months) for routine check-ups and dental cleanings. If it has been a while since your last cleaning or if you have signs of gum disease, we’ll see you back sooner to stay on top of things.

Do you treat children?

Your family is our family. We treat children of all ages, and we want you and your family to have a single dental home. In the rare event that we need to refer for a specific procedure, we have an excellent network of pediatric dentists.

When should I take my child to the dentist for their first check-up?

It’s recommended we first see your child by their first birthday or six months after their first tooth is visible (whichever comes first). First visits are mostly about getting your child comfortable in the dentist's chair and educating you on home care. After that, we’ll see you every six months to stay on top of their development and keep them feeling comfortable and familiar in a dental setting.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

As soon as your appointment is scheduled online or over the phone, your new patient forms will be sent directly to you using the email you provided. Simply fill out the forms on your smartphone, computer, or tablet, and they are automatically added to your chart - it’s that easy. It even allows you to take pictures of your insurance card so we can do a complimentary benefits evaluation prior to your visit. So all you’ll need to bring with you to your visit is yourself, we’ll take care of the rest.

How long will my first appointment last?

Your first visit is all about getting to know you. We set aside 90 minutes for our new patient cleanings so we can make sure the appointment never feels rushed. We take digital x-rays and photos of your teeth, and we listen to what brought you to us. Your story matters, and we take the time to listen so we can best serve you.

How often should I change my toothbrush?

It’s recommended that you change your toothbrush (or toothbrush heads if you’re using an electric brush) every three months.

Do you make same-day appointments?

Always. Things happen, and we want you to know that we’ll be here for you when they do.

Where is your dental office located?

Our office is conveniently located at the intersection of Fairbanks Ave., Pennsylvania Ave., and Orange Ave. directly next to The Ravenous Pig. We are just blocks from Hannibal Square, Rollins College and Park Avenue. If you’re in the area, come say hi – we’re always happy to give an office tour and introduce you to our wonderful staff.

Where did you get your dental degree?

I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During my years in practice, I’ve taken advanced continuing education courses in Invisalign, implant dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry.
